Welcome to Grabber Warmers as new sponsor!
Grabber Warmers are top notch and I have been using them for years. Excellent for keeping the hands and feet warm on those cold days on the Illinois River. Visit there website and take an additional 15% off your purchases by using the code "FISH2009". Or see me at the next event and I will be sure to pass a few samples out.
Nice to catch some Saugers!
And fall means Illinois River and Sauger. And man are they biten! This past week the fishing has been tremendous. Some solid fish including the 22" above. Great healthy fish. And lots of smaller fish to grow. I am convinced next spring those fish are gonna be really decent.
Top one fell to a jig. 3 ways, leadcore, and flatline all taking fish. Work the breaks from the channel up. Start deep work shallow. Gold "hutchie" 1/4 oz glitter jigs have been doing well for us. The 19" below was taken on a gold helicopter jig from Northland and a minnow in 10 FOW. Another favorite is the orange/yellow two tone from Brian Gorski at Lincoln Jig Company.

My favorite place for G3 Boats is Mid States Marine in Fremont, WI. Excellent staff, super service and one of the best wrenchers around. Fair to deal with and go the extra mile to make you happy.
FLW Schedule is out!
So check www.flwoutdoors.com Looks like the FLW Tour Events have been announced. PortClinton(Erie), Redwing (Mississippi), Leech Lake, and Winnebago. I am really liking the Winnebago event and will be attending as a co.
Probably the Heartland series as a co, with a few Wisconsin series as co and boater.

Job is good, challenging. In retrospect, would make the same decision. Miss the Italian and Mexican food from Chicago.
Great venues for the 2010 FLW Walleye Tour Events. Illinois River, Detroit River and Winnebago. WOW! A jig fishermans dream....
Wow, the FLW Tour event on Winnebago was a Blast! Having fished this water for some time, thought I new most of the patterns. NOPE! There is a nice weed pattern on the West side. Fished with some great folks. Cant wait till next year.
FLW Minnesota Red Wing event was excellent. Vertical jigging in 6 to 8 FOW was the ticket for us. Biggest was 24 inches. Finished 13th and got a check.
FLW Heartland out of Dubuque was a good time. We had good fish going on Thurs and Friday. Of course, tournament day another story. Finished 15th and gotta check.
Wow, what a trip to the Detroit River. Great time, some excellent fish. Congrats to Klino on getting the 10.5 lb he was looking for.

Hit Lake Michigan for the first time in the G3 for Coho. Did not dissapoint as we went 11 for 16. Luckily all the walleye gear worked well for the Big Lake.
Just finished the MWC out of Spring Valley. We had a disappointing Satruday with 2 fish for 3.5lbs. We were in 77th place. That night, a blizzard hit, and figured "what the heck do we got to lose?". We moved to 3 ways pattern, and boated well over a dozen fish. We lost a few along the way, but kept our best five for just over 11 lbs. We finished 26th a full 51 spot leap.
